JOB VACANCY: FUNDRAISING AND COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

LOCATION: Mid West Region
CONTRACT: Full-time – Permanent

evenings and weekends

REPORTS TO: Head of Services and Quality
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking a dynamic Fundraising and Communications
Coordinator. This individual will lead our fundraising initiatives and
manage our external communications strategy to enhance awareness about
homelessness and our work in the community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
FUNDRAISING: Develop and implement comprehensive and innovative
fundraising strategies to secure and grow funding from a variety of
sources, including individual donors, grants, corporate sponsorships,
and fundraising events.
COMMUNICATIONS: Lead our communication efforts to effectively
articulate our mission and impact to various stakeholders. This
includes managing our website, newsletters, social media channels, and
public relations activities.
STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT: Build and maintain strong relationships with
donors, volunteers, and community partners to advance our mission.
REPORTING AND COMPLIANCE: Ensure accurate and timely reporting on
fundraising activities and expenditure to the board and funders.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
* Have an understanding of fundraising in the charity sector with a
track record of successfully securing funds from a variety of sources.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage a wide
range of stakeholders and cultures.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in using digital marketing tools and social media
platforms for fundraising and communication purposes.
* Understanding and empathy towards the issues affecting homeless
individuals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor’s Degree relevant to the sector.
* Experience working with homeless populations or in the non-profit
sector is strongly preferred.
